Upon arrival approximately 4:15 I met up with Jeff Bray behind Shelter 3 just behind the main entrance. Jeff had located a Virginia’s Warbler at 10:30 a.m. a day earlier however the was no sign of the Virginia’s Warbler this afternoon or earlier in the day. The usual Orange-crowned Warblers were present with a few Townsen’s Warblers between Shelters 3 and 6.
At 5:51 p.m. I was within close range of a Black-throated Gray Warbler foraging within the bulrushes behind Shelter #3. This warbler stood out quite nicely amongst the greenery and was mingling with the Scaly-breasted Munias (about 20) near the creek. The Black-throated Gray Warbler stay for approximately 3 minutes then return around 6:15 p.m.
