Purple Finch sighting in south Orange County 7-14-14

This was an unusual sighting for south Orange County.  Typically a mountain finch (such as Big Bear or as close as the Santa Ana Mountains), this bird was initially found by another fellow birder on 7-12.  I had opted to revisit the same GPS markings and was able to produce photographs of the male and female.  I found both at the same location however about an hour apart in my findings.
