Today around 1:50pm the Hammond’s Flycatcher was seen at the base of Hummingbird Park. As you walk down the asphalt ramp, the flycatcher was seen in the northwest corner of the park just as you enter the creek area.
A positive ID was made after hearing its short whistle like calls ruling out the Dusky Flycatcher. Note the white teardrop shaped eye ring, olive-gray backside, large head and smaller bill.
Bird has been previously seen by Jeff Bray on 2/4/15 and Sherry Meddick on 2/5/15
