In a private area owned by the Irvine Conservancy Group, preregistration allowed access to Limestone Canyon in Silverado Canyon, CA. Mike Sanders and I opted to to take the Shoestring trail to Loma Ridge route then head back via Haul Hicks Road. Lenticular clouds helped keep the canyon cooled off and temps were hovering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
This was a 5 mile round trip loop that offered panoramic 360° views (photos below) and early sightings of Lupine along the pathways.
The Zone-tailed Hawk was clearly viewed by Mike and I at approximately 12:20pm as it circled over Loma Ridge
