On the Christmas Bird Count in December 2015, a Painted Redstart was located at Irvine Lake.\u00a0 One had been seen previously in Silverado Canyon but it was ultimately determined this December visitor was in fact a second \/ different Painted Redstart to arrive in Orange County.<\/p>\n

As of January 2016 the Painted Redstart can still be seen adjacent to the bait and tackle shop.\u00a0 Some have reported views from outside the gated area as well.<\/p>\n
