Orange County, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A report of a Dickcissel was submitted by Jeff Bray at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary approximately 7:15 a.m. today.\u00a0 I met up with Becky and Steve Turley, Bruce Aird, Jeff Bray, Ryan Winkleman and Amin at approximately 11:00 a.m along Pond E along the wall.\u00a0 This section provided excellent views of the Sora, Virginia Rail, Northern Red Bishop and a lone Yellow-headed Blackbird.\u00a0 After several hours of a no show Dickcissel, the humidity and heat intensified and several of us began taking cover under various tree shade.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 1:45pm the Pond area was vacant of birders.\u00a0 Before concluding this outing, I had opted to take one final walk around the perimeter of Pond E.\u00a0 Just past the first swallow house along the main path adjacent to the Sea and Sage Audubon building, a sparrow like bird appeared approximately 3-4 feet above my head fortunately on a leafless branch.\u00a0 The GPS coordinates were:\u00a0 33.6614, -117.8414.\u00a0 The subject was back lit with its bill tucked in its chest and initially I was unable to determine a clean profile.\u00a0 I had then overexposed the camera by 2 full stops, took a few photos to get a better determination of what I was viewing.\u00a0 These photos can be seen below &#8211;
