In a private area owned by the Irvine Conservancy Group<\/a>, preregistration allowed access to Limestone Canyon in Silverado Canyon, CA.\u00a0 Mike Sanders and I opted to to take the Shoestring trail to Loma Ridge route then head back via Haul Hicks Road.\u00a0 Lenticular clouds<\/a> helped keep the canyon cooled off and temps were hovering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/p>\n

This was a 5 mile round trip loop that offered panoramic 360\u00b0 views (photos below) and early sightings of Lupine along the pathways.<\/p>\n

The Zone-tailed Hawk was clearly viewed by Mike and I at approximately 12:20pm as it circled over Loma Ridge<\/p>\n
