A few days ago, fellow birders Mike Sanders and Amin Khalifa joined me for a visit to the Oso Reservoir. Much to our surprise, not 1 but 2 Pectoral Sandpipers flew in to the shoreline along with a cluster of Least Sandpipers. They were immediately distinguishable not only by their size but by the distinct streaking from their throat to the upper chest area as well as the most ostensible whitish eyebrow (supercillium).<\/p>\n
