At one point this trail showed on Google Maps \/Earth but without a name.\u00a0 After calling the association as eBird Logs would show adjacent addresses vs a trail, I was informed this trail had a name and it is called The Barano Walk Trail named after the adjacent street off the Torija entrance.\u00a0 Speaking of entrances, there are 5 different access points to get on this trail (there are others) but for simplicity 5 should hopefully be sufficient.<\/p>\n

From the Google Map image below, you’ll see there are two off Cenajo, one off Torija, one off Vista Del Lago and finally an unmarked entrance off Barano.\u00a0 Either Cenajo entrance is perhaps the best as Torija is nested within a set of streets and Vista Del Lago entrance is quite steep and parking can be challenging.<\/p>\n

As you head toward Torija the trail comes to a fork (not shown on map) that heads downward and extends into a park off Abanico shown on map.\u00a0 This are can also be worthy of inspecting.<\/p>\n

Since I began my birding endeavors the Barano Walk Trail has offered a total of 60 different species<\/a> over 35 checklists since 2011.<\/p>\n

The trail is approximately 3\/4 of a mile each way and level of difficulty is considered Easy (slightly hilly in a few locations).<\/p>\n
