A female Nuttall’s Woodpecker peers out of her tree hole September 24, 2014

I caught this female at Laguna Niguel Regional Park this afternoon on September 24, 2014 entering a hole in nearby tree.  As I approached the tree hole, there was another directly above.  My estimation is that both orifices can be used as an exit and entrance.  After waiting a bit, she poked her head out in time for a candid photograph.
