*New – added Western Tanager and Summer Tanager to the photo gallery on April 18, 2015

This month so far has brought both the migrating Western Tanager and the rare vagrant, Summer Tanager to Orange County.

With the Western Tanager being more commonly found in our area this month, the time seemed ripe to upload photos for better up close viewing of this stunning species

    It worked! I saw & snapped a pic of a Western Tanager yesterday at Carbon CanyonRegional Park yesterday.
